When in Bala I found the best way to beat the heat and humidity was to stand under the cascade of water pouring over the lip of the dam at the smaller falls, where I was totally enveloped. Both sets of falls receive their volume from the entire Muskoka watershed which then empty into the Moon River, and from there travels to Georgian Bay.
