HUGE HIT

Barb, one of my colleagues from The Rosseau, poses on top of the pumpkin she and her husband grew locally this year. Entered in the Port Elgin Pumpkinfest, it was weighed at 1,641 lbs, making it the third largest in Canada, and was a huge hit with our guests during the Thanksgiving weekend when it was displayed by the entrance.

  1. That's an amazing pumpkin. How was it transported and lifted? (and don't say "carefully"!) Is it still on display? I'd like to show it to my granddaughter on Friday.

  2. Hi Deb.
It was an amazing pumpkin to see!
How did you know I was going to say "carefully"? lol. Muskoka Lumber arranged the transportation using a boom truck.
Unfortunately it has since been removed but would have been nice to have for longer.
